In the discussion that follows, I reveal and discuss the relatively
unknown facts and consequences of the connection between the Black Lives Matter (BLM)
movement and Marxism – Radical Marxism - also known as Socialism and/or Communism.
“Black Lives Matter has the country’s attention. Now it’s giving
us some ideas to debate and discuss. And America — are you gonna love ‘em!
“Hey, who doesn’t support completely shutting down the Drug
Enforcement Agency and eliminating ICE?
“And ending all life sentences for convicted criminals, no matter
how heinous their crimes? Aren’t we all looking forward to the day Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
{the Boston Marathon bomber} and the BTK Killer are back on the streets?
“Then there’s that oldie but goodie — reparations. Only now BLM
is doubling down: not just a commission to implement race-based reparations, but tax-funded
payments to convicted drug dealers and prostitutes, plus illegal immigrants busted at the
border, as well.
“All these policy proposals and more can be found in the BREATHE Act,
developed in cooperation with Black Lives Matter and introduced . . . by Rep. Rashida Tlaib
(D-Mich.) and Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley. {Both of these women are known
for their un-American socialist extremism.}
“ ‘Right now the streets are swelling with demands for a new
future and a new policy mandate,’ says BLM cofounder Patrisse Cullors.‘The Movement for
Black Lives has responded with a vision that reflects these demands on a federal level.
Our movement is strong, and we’re inviting our nation’s leaders to join us in making
this vision a reality.’
“Cullors, last seen on video calling herself and her fellow
BLM organizers ‘trained Marxists,’ [Emphasis mine] apparently expects
Democrats like Pressley — and presumably Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden — to back these
policies. And Pressley, whose supporters would re-elect her if she proposed a sister
city on Mars, probably will.
“But for any #DefundThePolice Democrats out there who think
abolishing ankle bracelet monitors and emptying out prisons is a platform your party’s
going to run on, {you’d better think twice about such foolishness.}
- - -
“ ‘As long as our economy and political systems prioritize
profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate
this inequality,’ says Rep. Ilhan Omar, a fellow ‘Squad’ member with Pressley and Tlaib.
‘We cannot stop at the criminal justice system. We must begin the work of
dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.’ [emphasis mine]
{Read this statement as: End the freest and most successful economic system the
world has ever seen and replace it with a radical socialist system that has proven a failure
everywhere it’s been tried!}
“So once we empty the prisons and defund the cops, progressives
say, we can move on to destroying your property rights and killing your jobs!”
[Emphasis mine] (Ref. 1)
So, is the Black Lives Matter movement nothing more than a
wolf in sheep’s clothing – a radical Socialist or Marxist attempt to co-opt the American
way of life under the guise of an organization fighting for social justice for
African-Americans? Read on!
“Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in
a . . . video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are ‘trained Marxists’ –
making clear their movement’s ideological foundation . . . {Is this clear enough?}
“Cullors . . .was the protégé of Eric Mann,
former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent
years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview . . .
[Emphasis mine]
“ ‘The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an
ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,’ she said,
referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.
“ ‘We are trained Marxists. [Emphasis mine]
We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really
tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,’ . . .
“While promoting her book ‘When They Call You a Terrorist:
A Black Lives Matter Memoir’ in 2018, Cullors described her introduction to and support
for Marxist ideology.” (Ref. 2)
So, can there be any doubt about the political leanings of the
founders and the organizers of the Black Lives Matter movement? Is the Black Lives Matter
movement working on behalf of African-Americans or is it more interested in promoting its
own agenda - the often-violent attempt to impose radical Marxism on American society?
How many supporters of Black Lives Matter actually know what they are really supporting?
Read on.
“Marxists have a genius for the use of language as misdirection.
“What do you call a place where you lock up your political
opponents, make them do hard labor, subject them to an endless barrage of propaganda,
and then kill them if they still resist?
“A reeducation camp. Kind of sounds like adult summer school.
“What do you call a mass movement where you turn loose mobs of
your supporters to destroy institutions, spread terror, and kill your political opponents?
A Cultural Revolution. Kind of like a Chinese Burning Man maybe?
“What do you call an organization wherein young people are
indoctrinated, taught to revere the state above all other institutions, and, if necessary,
to inform on their own parents?
“The Young Pioneers. Think Russian Boy Scouts.
“And what do you call a movement dedicated to the
destruction of the existing social, political, and economic order in the United States?
“Black Lives Matter – What It Is.
“All over America millions of people have marched chanting
“Black Lives Matter” slogans . . . Virtually all of them believed that they
were advancing the cause of equal justice under the law. Likely very few of them fully
understood the actual agenda of the Black Lives Matter movement and its
goals.
“The Black Lives Matter movement was founded by three black
women who have described themselves as ‘trained Marxists.’ Its agenda is
revolutionary and almost unbelievably radical. It includes:
“A moratorium on the construction of all prison,
jail, and detention facilities in the United States.
“A complete end to the use of jails, prisons, detention, and
civil commitment facilities.
“Defunding of the police and the end of police forces in the
United States as we know them. The agenda also explicitly notes that police
forces will not be replaced by contract or private security.
“The end of both bail and pretrial detention.
“An ‘immediate end to all detention, deportations, Immigration
and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, roving Border Patrols, and private and public
immigration detentions centers.’
“ ‘Divestment from immigration enforcement institutions,
corporations, and border militarization apparatus, including Customs and Border Patrol
(CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).’
“The legalization of prostitution.
“Universal health care with a specific focus on the ‘generational
trauma which contributes to the war on Black health.’
“Reparations for ‘past and
continuing harms.’ This means, expressly, not simply payments for
harm associated with the institution of slavery but payment for things like ‘the
denial of access to high-quality educational opportunities,’ ‘the wealth extracted
from black communities’ and ‘food apartheid.’
“Free access and open enrollment to all public colleges and
universities.
“Free housing, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and food
for all students.
“A guaranteed minimum livable income for all Black people.
“Universal voter registration, automatic voter registration,
same-day voter registration, the enfranchisement of all previously incarcerated people,
voting rights for ‘undocumented people,’ and a ban on any disenfranchisement law.
“Restructuring of the tax codes to ‘ensure a
radical and sustainable redistribution of wealth’.
“Divestment from the use of fossil fuels and investment in
community-based sustainable energy solutions.
“A cut in military expenditures and a reallocation of those
funds to invest in ‘domestic infrastructure and community well-being.
’
“Disruption of the ‘Western-prescribed nuclear family
structure requirement’ and its replacement with a system of
extended families and ‘villages’ that ‘collectively care for
one another.’
“According to Black Lives Matter, ‘America is an empire that
uses war to expand its territory and power.’ Israel is an ‘apartheid state’ and is
guilty of ‘genocide’ against the Palestinians. Black Americans, per Black Lives Matter,
should identify with the ‘liberation movements around the world’.
“Black Lives Matter – What It Really Is
“This is not a movement focused on equal justice and reform
within the existing system. This is a radical, Marxist group, which is waging war on
what it characterizes as ‘white supremacy, imperialism, capitalism and patriarchy.’
Black Lives Matter seeks nothing less than the complete and total destruction
of this nation as we know it and its replacement with a socialist nation characterized
by mass indoctrination and radical ideology.
“But, here’s the really scary part. It’s working. At its core,
Black Lives Matter counts on the fact that large portions of the population, many
businesses, and even more politicians will be afraid to oppose them for fear
of being labeled as racist. And, they’re right.
“All over America, wealthy financiers donate to the
cause. Corporations scramble to outdo themselves in groveling and begging forgiveness
for perceived wrongs. Mayors, Governors, and members of the U.S. Congress join in, eager
to mouth the words ‘Black Lives Matter’ and be perceived as ‘woke’ and on the right
side of history. [Emphasis mine]
“Every single pillar on which this
nation has been built – political, economic, and social is under attack.
In the place of the most successful nation-state the world has ever seen, radical
leftists are pushing for the creation of a mad, dysfunctional Marxist monstrosity.
And right now, as we sit paralyzed and tongue-tied, the Marxists are
winning.” [Emphasis mine] (Ref. 3)
"The disastrous consequences of some of the Black Lives Matter
demands are . . . beginning to show up. Law and order was the first victim.
“The recent damage inflicted on thousands of people who lost
their possessions and businesses, as well as the many murders and assaults, shows what
happens to a society with fewer police or no police.
“On May 25, 2020, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a police officer,
Derek Chauvin, who already had 18 complaints lodged against him, killed a black man,
George Floyd, by kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
“Angry protests in Minneapolis quickly turned into riots
that ravaged the city. The police did not intervene; the mayor had ordered them to
withdraw and do nothing.
“More protests soon broke out in major cities throughout
the country and rapidly led to widespread disorder. In the twin cities of Minneapolis
and St. Paul, 1,500 buildings were vandalized, looted or destroyed. Again, the police
did little to intervene: the mayors of most of the cities had asked the police to act
with restraint.
“The rioters attacked churches and synagogues, and looted stores,
often belonging to minority owners in distressed neighborhoods.
“The riots ended, but the damage was immense. . .
“Statues throughout the country were attacked — first Confederate
statues, then tributes to Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.
Prominent politicians supported the rioters. The mayor of Boston said he wanted to
remove from a city square a statue of Lincoln standing in front of a liberated black man.
Members of the New York City Council requested that a statue of Thomas Jefferson be
removed from the City Hall. In Portland, Oregon, a statue of George Washington was pulled
down and set on fire. Statues of Christopher Columbus were toppled and some beheaded.
“The mob’s destruction or removal of statues appears an attempt
to erase the history of the United States and to treat great men such as Abraham Lincoln,
who abolished slavery, George Washington, first president of the United States or
Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and author of the Declaration
of Independence, as if they were irredeemably despicable. What they are doing
looks like just an old-fashioned power-grab. The first law of power-grabbers is that if
no one stops them, they keep on going — often with catastrophic consequences.
[Emphasis mine]
“ ‘Why do I even worry about some silly little statues coming
down or some silly little street names changing?’ asked Elizabeth Rogliani, who lived
through Venezuela’s transition to Communism.
“ ‘[W]hen I was living in Venezuela. Statues came down — Chavez
didn’t want that history displayed. And then he changed the street names. Then came
the [school curricula]. Then some movies couldn’t be shown, then certain TV channels,
and so on and so forth….
“ ‘We didn’t believe it could happen to us. Most Venezuelans —
Cubans warned us — and we were like, ‘This is Venezuela, we know about freedom. That’s
not going to happen here.’ Yet it happened. . .
“Two movements have been active in the violence. One is Antifa,
which has been called ‘a revolutionary Marxist/anarchist militia movement that seeks to
bring down the United States by means of violence and intimidation.’ Antifa, although it
claims to be antifascist, behaves in a fascistic way.
“The other movement, Black Lives Matter, was founded in 2013
by three black women, Alicia Garza, Opal Tometi and Patrisse Cullors. Cullors declared
that she and Garza are ‘trained Marxists.’ The Black Lives Matter founding manifesto,
published in 2016 (then removed from BLM website), describes the United States as a ‘corrupt
democracy originally built on Indigenous genocide and chattel slavery’ that ‘continues to
thrive on the brutal exploitation of people of color’ and that perpetuates ‘the ugly
American traditions of patriarchy, classism, racism, and militarism.’ In December 2014,
a slogan at a Black Lives Matter demonstration organized by Al Sharpton’s National Action
Network, was: “What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now.’
[Emphasis mine]
“If Antifa is widely rejected, Black Lives Matter is not. Its
name has become a slogan on walls, storefronts and restaurants. The posters state:
‘No justice, no peace.’
“There are widespread calls for defunding or abolishing the
police. . .
“What seems to be trying to gain more influence is a
wish . . . to rewrite the history of the United States. [Emphasis mine] . . .
 - - -
“{BLM calls for ‘reparations’. What do they mean by reparations?}
‘Reparations . . . is the extraction of money from those who were never slave owners
to be given to those who were never slaves.’ [Emphasis mine]
“ ‘Every life matters,’ said former Speaker of the
US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich. If only. [Emphasis mine]
“{Attempts at thought control and censorship are surfacing!}
The idea that in the United States there is ‘structural racism’ . . . has led, it seems,
to a form of obsessive expiation. Films have been removed from streaming services.
Gone with the Wind will now be shown with a five-minute disclaimer. (One minute would
not have been enough?)
“The film is probably just first on a lengthening list. A reporter
from Variety recently listed ‘10 Problematic Films That Could Use Warning Labels’.
They include Forrest Gump: for a brief moment, the title character is described, in an
ironic fashion, as having been named after a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Consumer
product brands, such as Uncle Ben’s Rice and Aunt Jemima syrup, are abruptly having
their names and logos changed. Princeton voted to expunge the name of Woodrow Wilson
from its public policy school.
“Demands have been made that universities and corporations
show that they are not racist by declaring their support for Black Lives Matter. Many
have bowed to the demand.
- - -
{America’s law enforcement apparatus is now under
unrelenting attack by Black Lives Matter.} “What basically appears to
be at work has nothing to do with either black lives or the police. It is a will to
overthrow the United States. This desire includes American institutions, everything on
which the United States is founded and the United States itself. [Emphasis mine]
“The statement ‘Black Lives Matter’ assumes from the
start that, for the police, the judicial system and everyone else, black lives do not matter.
What is so conspicuous and tragic is that black lives only seem to matter if they were
taken by a white person…. Sadly, when it comes to black-on-black violence, no one seems
to care. [Emphasis mine]
- - -
“That the name Black Lives Matter is present everywhere, and
that everyone seems to ignore or forget what the organization Black Lives Matter really is,
shows that a violent, anti-democratic organization, which calls for the murder of police
officers and accepts anti-Semitism and anti-White racism, can use threats, intimidation
and destruction — and find public acceptance.
“Of course there is still some racism among individuals, but the
idea that the United States today is a society where ‘structural racism’ exists is
contradicted by decades of political decisions to repair the damage and, as in, for example,
affirmative action programs, to favor equality for all Americans. As . . . an American author
who fled her homeland of Somalia, wrote:
“ ‘The problem is that there are people among us who don’t want
to figure it out and who have an interest in avoiding workable solutions. They have
an obvious political incentive not to solve social problems, because social problems are the
basis of their power. [Emphasis mine] That is why . . . showing it’s simply not
true that the police disproportionately shoot black people dead . . . the response is not
to read the paper but to try to discredit its author.’
“. . . Rewriting history by falsifying it is simply an
attempt to replace history with propaganda. [Emphasis mine]
“Removing films and other information that do not correspond
to a predetermined vision of history has long been the practice of totalitarian despotisms.
Dictating that universities and corporations face severe consequences if they refuse to
bowdlerize the past is simply a fascistic, tyrannical means of coercion. Worse, the
submissive attitude of so many universities and corporations is what enables the bullying
to continue.
“ ‘The success of America’s recent cultural revolution can be
measured not in toppled governments but in shattered values,’ . . . Radical people . . .
had taken power in the universities, and their ideas spread throughout the educational
system — in culture, politics, justice, and the economy. Radicals still dominate most
American universities — now even more than then, and their ideas are now more widespread.
- - -
“{A decade or more earlier,} It would have been hard to
imagine . . . that a mayor could abandon his or her city to rioters, or that they
would accept tearing down and destroying statues of Washington, Jefferson or Lincoln.
When will they be coming to tear down statues of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?
“It would also have been hard to imagine that a violent
organization such as Black Lives Matter would not even be questioned . . .
“It would hard to imagine just two months ago that any city
council would actually vote to abolish the police force.
“The United States seems at a pivotal moment. . .
“ ‘Indeed, apart from opportunistic thugs and felons, the bulk
of the ‘troops’ who would comprise one side of some civil war are pretty much denizens
of the young comfortable classes. Their disruptive and violent behavior is happening
because governors, mayors, and police chiefs have over the last decade sent the message
that they will not respond with mind-concentrating force in order to restore order and
hold rioters accountable…’
- - -
“ ‘The fundamental question of our time is whether the West
has the will to survive. Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any
cost? … Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face
of those who would subvert and destroy it?’
“Good question.” (Ref. 4)
The Truth About Marxism, Socialism, Communism
Some people never read their history books – others read them,
but don’t believe what they read. Some people never learn. Others just don’t care about
facts – they concoct some illusion and then pursue their unfounded dream, oblivious to the
world around them. 21st century Marxists, Socialists, Communist, and others of this ilk
fall into this category.
“Some conservatives may be discouraged by the latest
surveys confirming that nearly one-half of millennials are receptive to living under
socialism and regard capitalism as a captive of greed. [Emphasis mine] . . .
- - -
“{Intelligent people} must step forward to tell the
truth about capitalism: the better life it has brought to billions of people, the
diversity and freedom of choice it celebrates, the individual responsibility it
encourages, the continuing miracle of Adam Smith’s ‘invisible hand,’ its rejection
of government planning that always leads to dictatorship. [Emphasis mine]
‘Which brings us to the urgent task of exposing the chimera
that socialism is just another political system. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep. Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez and their fellow socialists carefully omit any mention of the principles
laid down by Karl Marx, the founding father of Socialism, such as the abolition of
private property and the centralization of the means of production and of decision-making.
But {the} radical socialists {are} waiting in the wings to promote these extreme
initiatives. {Today’s prime example: The Black Lives Matter crowd. }
“. . . Socialists promise a classless society but create
the prison camps of the Gulag and the Isle of Pines. They assure peace but engage in wars
of national liberation. They abolish private property but depend upon the underground economy.
They stamp out religion but worship Big Brother. They bring down corrupt dictators but
institute a dictatorship of the Party. [Emphasis mine]
“Here are some of the most telling failures of socialism.
“One, socialism has never succeeded anywhere, including
the Marxism-Leninism of the Soviet Union, the National Socialism of Nazi Germany, the Maoism
of Communist China, the Chavez-Maduro socialism of Venezuela. It has never come close
anywhere to Marx’s ideal of a classless society. [Emphasis mine]
“Two, Karl Marx has been wrong about nearly everything he
predicted. The nation-state has not withered away. Capitalism didn’t break down as a
result of the Industrial Revolution. Workers haven’t become revolutionaries but
capitalists. The middle class hasn’t disappeared; indeed, it has expanded exponentially
around the world . . . .
“Three, socialism denies the existence of an essential human trait –
human nature. Marx borrowed from the Enlightenment to declare that human nature was malleable,
not constant. Christian theology with its idea of a fixed God-given nature infuriated Marx.
The socialist state established by Lenin tried for seven decades to create an entirely new
human being – Soviet Man. In December 1991, Mikhail Gorbachev gave up trying and dissolved
the world’s most spectacular failure in human engineering.
“Four, socialism depends not upon the will of the people
but on the dictatorship of the Party to remain in power. [Emphasis mine] In ‘The
God That Failed,’ six famous Western intellectuals describe their journey into
socialism and their exit when they encountered the gigantic gap between their vision of
a socialist utopia and the totalitarian reality of the socialist state.
[Emphasis mine]
- - -
“Given the ignorance of so many of our fellow especially
young Americans, telling the truth about socialism has become an imperative. If we do not,
Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez and their fellow travelers will fill the vacuum with their
misleading rhetoric. This is the truth about socialism: It is a pseudo-religion
founded in pseudo-science and enforced by political tyranny. ” [Emphasis mine]
(Ref. 5)
America - wake up. Marxism – Radical Marxism - also known as
Socialism and/or Communism has arrived at our doorstep. It has just assumed another name,
just as in those totalitarian states that bill themselves as “People’s Democratic Republics”.
In reality, such nations are neither democratic nor do they in any way represent the will
of their peoples. Black lives certainly do matter, but do those driving Black Lives Matter
really care?
