“Welcome to the world of the Palestinian{-Arabs},
where we lie and then believe our own lies. And then want the rest of the world to
believe them, too.” (Ref. 1)
Ever since the creation of the modern State of Israel,
Palestinian-Arab propagandists have attempted to create the “big lie” that the
Palestinian-Arabs are descended from the original inhabitants of the land of Palestine
and that ancient Israel never existed. As part of their effort to have this “big lie”
accepted, they have been illegally destroying and hiding archaeological evidence that
proves they have fabricated this myth.
By destroying and hiding all this historical evidence and
treasure, the Palestinian-Arabs show that they are no better than other Islamic
fanatics like “the Taliban fighters {in Afghanistan who destroyed} two giant Buddhas
carved into the hillside nearly 2,000 years ago . . . erasing all traces of a rich
pre-Islamic past.” (Ref. 2) Similarly, “Historic
structures in Palmyra, Syria, were destroyed by ISIS militants, who demolished an
ancient monument and part of a second-century Roman amphitheater there.”
(Ref. 3) As their destruction of irreplaceable treasures
in the historical Land of Israel continues, the Palestinian-Arabs are proving
themselves guilty of committing crimes against humanity – meanwhile the idiots
of the world look on complacently and ignore the tragedy that is taking place.
“Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Germany's Minister of Propaganda
infamously said: ‘If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will
eventually come to believe it.’ . . .
“Another such miscreant, the late and unlamented . . .
arch-terrorist, Yasser Arafat, spewed many canards, but one which has been repeated
relentlessly by the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians is that there were no
Jewish Temples on Jerusalem's Temple Mount, thus rejecting the Hebrew Bible and
faith based history that Jews and Christians revere.
“Other Palestinian Arab 'notables' . . . had declared the
Jewish Temples ‘never existed.’ And even {a} Palestinian so-called moderate . . .
made the preposterous and malicious claim that ‘the historical ties and attachments
of the Palestinians precede any Israeli claim to Jerusalem.’ . . ."
(Ref. 4)
"To claim that Palestinians are the original inhabitants
of the Land of Israel not only goes against secular history and scientific knowledge,
but it also flies in the face of Islamic religious history. Not only do the Islamic
scriptures recognize the unique Jewish claims to the Land of Israel, but there is
no reference whatsoever to any Palestinian people dwelling on any land called
Filastin during any part of Islamic history until the twentieth century. The term
Jund Filastin was used to describe a military district of the Umayyad and Abbasid
caliphates and had no ethnic or national significance until the twentieth
century.
"The Qur’an . . . clearly declares the Jews (Bani Israil)
as the only owners of the Land of Israel, which is al-Ard al-Muqaddasah; al-Ard
al-Mubarakah; Ard Bani Israil (the sacred land; the blessed land; the land of the
People of Israel) . . . The Qur’an goes on to acknowledge that the Jewish first
and second kingdoms existed . . . {The existence of the Jewish Temples on the
Temple Mount is also acknowledged by}the Qur’anic description of Muhammad’s Night
Journey from Mecca to the 'furthest mosque,' which is juxtaposed with a verse
on the destroyed Temple of the Israelites. The existence of that temple . . . had
been acknowledged by officials of the Islamic religious endowment authority (waqf )
in their publicity materials from the 1920s and 1950s . . ." (Ref. 5)
“The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is the most sacred site of the
Jewish people and of the Jewish faith. It is the very place King David made his capital
some 3,000 years ago and where he built the sanctuary for the Ark of the Covenant.
It is where his son, King Solomon, built the first Temple, destroyed centuries later
by the Babylonians in 586 BCE, and where the Second Temple was completed in 515 BCE
by Zerubbabel, centuries later to be destroyed by Rome in 70 CE.
- - -
“At the conclusion of Israel's {6-day} war . . . in June,
1967 and the reunification of Jerusalem . . . Israel {gave} the Waqf – the . . .
Jordanian Muslim religious authorities – the keys to the Temple Mount . . .
“. . . a journalist with the Italian newspaper, Il
Foglio, wrote in 2012: ‘The Waqf is now attempting to deliberately destroy
all archaeological evidence of Jewish presence on this site, while using terror
and intimidation to impose its exclusive claim to the Temple Mount. The Waqf has
removed every visible sign of ancient Jewish existence upon the site. At the entrance,
a Waqf sign says 'The Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard and everything in it is Islamic
property.'
- - -
“What may well be one of the worst ongoing crimes
against human history and civilization is the ruthless and relentless destruction
of Jewish and Christian antiquities by the Muslim authorities, the Waqf
[Emphasis mine] . . . Remember the Taliban destruction of the 2,500 year old statues
of Buddha in Afghanistan? It is the same Muslim arrogance and hatred for all other
religions. Remember Islamic State (ISIS) and its wholesale destruction of antiquities
in Iraq and Syria? Anything non-Muslim is fair game to such barbarians.
“On the Temple Mount, the Islamic Waqf soon began using
heavy bulldozers to dig up the ground in order to build yet another mosque, in
addition to the two existing mosques Muslim conquerors had built over the site
of the two Biblical Jewish Temples. Despite Israeli protests, they are still
building under the Mount, and in the process deliberately desecrating tons of
precious archaeologically rich soil. One archaeologist described the disturbed
sites as ‘an archaeological crime’ and ‘an assault upon Jewish and Christian
history.’ [Emphasis mine]
“. . . Israeli and other archeologists and volunteers
{myself included, have been} searching through the tons of earth and rubble which
had been unceremoniously dumped by the Muslim Authorities in the nearby Kidron Valley.
“The . . . archaeologists and their helpers from around
the world {have} uncovered thousands of rare and important artifacts from the First
and Second Temple periods, as well as from Roman and Byzantine periods, among them a
rare bulla dating from the First Temple Period.
“But each precious find, ripped and torn from its age old
location upon the Temple Mount by Palestinian{-Arabs}, fatally compromises what
archaeologists can tell us: a most grievous and barbarous sin against history and
civilization.
“The catastrophe is continuing even now as the Muslim Waqf
and Palestinian Authority continue remorselessly desecrating and gleefully destroying
evidence of Judeo-Christian civilization and faith upon Jerusalem's Temple Mount.
[Emphasis mine]” (Ref. 4)
“In 2000 the Palestinians destroyed Joseph's tomb. {An October 8th
article in the Los Angeles Times asked: ‘Where is the outrage? Imagine what would have
happened if Jewish police stood by and allowed a Jewish mob to destroy a Muslim holy place!
Does the destruction of a Jewish holy place by an Arab mob while Palestinian police stand by
(after promising to protect it) deserve no more than inclusion in a list of other damage done
by rioters? Is this an acceptance of attacks on Jews and things Jewish as a normal part of
life?’ ‘It makes a mockery of any thought of giving Arabs any control of Jewish holy places.
The destruction of dozens of such places in the Old City of Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967,
along with the exclusion of Jews entirely from their most holy site, the Western Wall, was
clearly of a piece with the current destruction.’ “ (Ref. 5)
In 2014, “Joseph’s Tomb, which is located in Nablus, a Palestinian
Arab-controlled town, was torched . . . The Hebrew name of the town is Shechem. According
to the Book of Joshua, 24:32, ‘The bones of Joseph which the children of Israel brought
up from Egypt were buried in Shechem in the portion of the field that had been purchased
by Jacob.’
“This {was} only the latest torching of Joseph’s Tomb by Arabs,
even though Joseph is a prophet, according to Islam.
“After the 1967 Six Day War, Israel regained access to the site of
the Tomb, and in the 1980’s a Jewish seminary was built there. A small military outpost
was also placed at the site, in order to protect the Jewish students. But following the
Oslo Accords, the surrounding area was handed over to the Palestinian Arabs, while Israel
retained authority over Joseph’s Tomb.
“. . .{In} October, 2000, six Arabs and one Jew were killed
in a battle which took place at the Tomb.
Israel then agreed to withdraw from the area and handed over control to the
Palestinian Arabs who were expected to guard it. Instead, when the hand-off took place,
on October 7, the Arab police watched as their people destroyed the Tomb.
They rioters burned books, shtenders {small tables on which those praying place
their prayer books} and other religious paraphernalia, and defiled the Tomb.
[Emphasis mine]
“In 2011 . . . Palestinian Arabs set Joseph’s Tomb on fire . . .
“Joseph’s Tomb has been attacked by Arabs several more times since
that time . . .” (Ref. 6)
In 2017, we read:“Israel entrusted one of its great
archaeological treasures to the Palestinian{-Arabs}s. They destroyed it.
“The Palestinian{-Arabs were found to be} systematically
destroying King Herod’s grand Third Palace in Jericho by stripping its stone and
building homes around it, thereby erasing a testament to the Jews’ deep roots to
the Land of Israel.
“Israel Hayom reported . . . that a team from the
Kfar Etzion Field School visited the site recently and was appalled to find that the
Palestinian{-Arabs}, who received the important site as part of the Oslo Accords,
had built housing around it. Some homes were constructed on the grounds of the palace
itself. The remains of the palace {were} being systematically demolished to construct
a road. The historic edifice {was} being stripped of its stone, and the supporting
pillars and arches {had} been defaced.
“Most of Herod’s Third Palace, lies . . . under full
Palestinian{-Arab} control.
“Not far away . . . are the Hasmonean palaces, the most
important preserved Hasmonean site in Israel.
“The Hasmonean palaces are located in {an area} under full
Israeli control, but can only be accessed via {an} area . . . where the Palestinian{-Arabs}
are in full control.
“The Palestinian{-Arabs} began building illegally next to the
site and desecrating it. One of the palaces was even vandalized with a swastika. . .
“. . . the Herodian palace, under full PA control, is exposed
to all manner of desecration and destruction. When the Israeli Civil Administration . . .
received reports of the destruction taking place at the palace, they tried to exert
influence and to reach out to local village leaders, but the Palestinian{-Arab}
construction around the Third Palace has not stopped.
- - -
“ ‘Israel sees how one of the grandest palaces ever built
in the Holy Land is being destroyed, and [Israel] is standing by helplessly, because,
under the Oslo Accords, the site . . . was made the responsibility of the
Palestinians. . .” (Ref. 7)
“On Jan 6, 2018, {a} Hebrew University archaeology doctoral
student . . . described to the Israel News Company . . . how Palestinian{-Arab} tractors
and bulldozers arrived at an archaeological site where the ancient city of Archelaus once
stood. ‘The Palestinians completely leveled the compound in order to locate hidden
archaeological treasures to sell in the antiquities black market. Just as ISIS
destroyed sites in Iraq and Syria that were thousands of years old, the same
situation is occurring here. This is a deliberate and systematic destruction
of an archaeological site....It's just a tragedy.’ [Emphasis mine]
- - -
“. . . ‘It makes a mockery of any thought of giving Palestinian
Arabs any control of Jewish or Christian holy places. The destruction of dozens of such
places in the Old City of Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967, when the Jordanian Arabs
illegally occupied the eastern half of the City, along with excluding Jews entirely
from their most holy sites, was clearly of a piece with the current destruction.’
- - -
“One can only shudder at what discoveries of profound
spiritual and historical importance have already been destroyed and lost.
“. . . Where is the conscience of the
civilized world? Where is the thunderous shout of 'NO MORE' from the world's
non-Muslim heads of state? Where, indeed!” [Emphasis mine]
(Ref. 4)
“The vast literature proving the historic Jewish connection
to the Land of Israel has been extensively manipulated and distorted as part of the
Palestinian{-Arab} politics of nationalism. Propaganda, indoctrination, and socialization,
both domestically and internationally, are essential parts of the strategy and tactics
of asserting Palestinian{-Arab} nationhood and statehood. By appropriating to themselves
the values, traditions, and historical facts that belong to the Jews, Palestinian{-Arabs}
have managed to fabricate a ‘legitimate’ history and political traditions out of nothing
while denying those of Israel.
- - -
“Palestinian{-Arab} tactics are simple yet sophisticated:
preaching and dispersing lies and distortions of reality. History proves that the
bigger the lie and the more common its reiteration, the more it is accepted as
authentic and genuine. Moreover, most people are unwilling to accept the idea that
an entire national leadership would dare to totally distort and fabricate history
in full . . . {but such is the case with the absurd lies and historical distortions
promulgated by the Palestinian-Arab leaders and their gullible sycophants.}
“Rewriting the history of the Land of Israel by erasing Jewish
history and replacing it with a fabricated Palestinian{-Arab} history is a central goal
of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and something that the early generations of
Palestinian{-Arab} leaders, including the notorious Hajj Amin Husseini, who led the
Palestinian Arabs to their 1948 defeat, dared not do. This fictitious history,
which ignores all historical documentation and established historical methods, is
based on systematic distortions of both ancient and modern history with the aim of
denying Israel's right to exist.” [Emphasis mine] (Ref. 8)
In 2019, “Israeli officials . . . saved a rare Second Temple
period archeological site in the Jericho area, including palaces of the Hasmonean Dynasty,
from potential destruction due to illegal Arab construction in the area.
“The Archaeology Unit at the Civil Administration (AUCA) and
the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) worked together to
thwart the threat to the important archeological site, located near Palestinian Authority
(PA) controlled Jericho.
“During a routine patrol of the site, AUCA officials identified
construction vehicles preparing the land for building without the necessary permit to
do so. Building materials were also found in the vehicles at the site.
- - -
“The unique archaeological site illustrates what Hasmonean
life was like in the period prior to the destruction of the Second Temple. Numerous
burial caves can be found in the area, in which three generations of Hasmoneans were
buried.
- - -
“The destruction of archeological findings is
commonplace in Judea and Samaria and is often used as a political tool to deny the
historical Jewish presence in the region. [Emphasis mine]
“In April 2019, ancient burial caves near the Hasmonean Palaces
were looted by Jericho Arabs. Human remains were scattered throughout the ancient Jewish
burial tombs, and precious archeological evidence was destroyed.
“Another example of such practice can be found at the Temple Mount,
where the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, an Islamic religious trust which controls the holy site,
has been bulldozing the earth from the mountain. Many important archeological findings
have been unearthed in the discarded rubble over the years.”(Ref. 9)
Here in 2020, Palestinian-Arab attempts to erase history continue.
“The Palestinian Authority (PA) has recently seized a Hasmonean-era fortress in Samaria and
has converted it into ‘a Palestinian{-Arab} tourist site’ as part of its campaign to seize
Jewish heritage sites and transform them into ‘Palestinian{-Arab} sites’ while systematically
demolishing archaeological findings.
“{In February 2020} The Shomrim Al Hanetzach? (Guarding Eternity)
organization discovered . . . that the PA has installed a new massive flag mast and lighting
at the fortress of Arama, an ancient Hasmonean archeological site which dominates the ancient
road from Shechem (Nablus) to the Jordan Valley.
“Tel Aruma, which is mentioned in the Bible as the city of
Avimelech, was the northernmost fortress of the Jewish state during the Hasmonean period.
“Photos from the site . . . show that the PA’s construction has
caused damage to the fortress’ wall and blocked its water reservoirs. The PA also added a
heavy concrete casting for the PA flag flying at the site.
- - -
“The PA is ‘turning the place into an active Palestinian{-Arab}
tourist site while causing shocking destruction of the archeological findings and history
which we will never be able to recover,’ the organization said.
“Shomrim Al Hanetzach noted that the phenomenon of antiquity
destruction is pervasive and affects all sites that are not under permanent preservation,
and a survey of the sites in Judea and Samaria shows that a staggering 95% of the
archeological sites have been robbed, vandalized or disturbed. [Emphasis mine]
- - -
“The PA has previously taken control of Israeli and Jewish
heritage sites in an attempt to usurp it of its national identity and legacy, in
contradiction to the historical and archaeological findings.”
(Ref. 10)
Palestinian-Arabs show total disregard for any-and-all items
of historical, biblical and sociological significance that
do not conform to their contrived narrative of predating an Israelite presence in the
Land of Israel. In marked contrast, today’s Israelis take inordinate care to
preserve and safeguard
all sites and items of historical, biblical and sociological significance.
In Israel, construction immediately stops when any archaeologically significant item
is discovered. Construction teams often include archaeologists. Nothing of archeological
significance is allowed to be damaged or destroyed. Items discovered cannot be sold or
trafficked – they become the property of the State of Israel to be enjoyed by the people
of Israel and the people of the world.
“Given that Israel is littered with archaeological
remains from the dawn of man onwards, all new construction sites are explored by experts
before building can begin.” (Ref. 11)
"In 2004, a sewage
pipe burst in the middle of the neighborhood of Silwan in southeast Jerusalem. The
municipality sent in a crew of construction workers to fix the leak, and as is
the case in Jerusalem and especially in neighborhoods adjacent to the Old City, they
were accompanied by a team of archeologists. [Emphasis mine]
As the repairs progressed, the construction workers stumbled
upon some long and wide stairs a few dozen meters from where the Shiloah – the ancient
pool Jewish pilgrims would dip in before beginning the religious ascent to the Temple,
until its destruction in 70 CE – was believed to have once stood. The steps were just
like the ones that lead to the Hulda Gates, a set of now blocked entrances along the
Temple Mount’s Southern Wall." (Ref. 12)
“In preparation for the construction of a guesthouse in 2009
at Magdala on the western coastline of the Sea of Galilee, an archaeological test was
conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). A tractor came across what would be
the most important archaeological discovery in Israel in the last 50 years less than a
foot beneath the soil. This find was the Magdala Stone, a carved stone relief bearing
one of the earliest images of the seven-branched menorah. The stunning discovery led to
further excavation. A first-century synagogue and a marketplace were soon brought to
light after having been covered by a series of small-scale landslides for the last
2,000 years.” (Ref. 13)
Even as the Coronavirus has caused the shutdown of nearly all
public places in Israel, the Palestinian-Arabs have continued to destroy and desecrate
archeological sites on the Temple Mount. “Photos uploaded on Tuesday {31 March 2020}
to the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf’s official Facebook page showed them conducting unauthorized
digs on the Temple Mount. [Emphasis mine]
“ ‘Despite the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Haram esh-Sharif
due to coronavirus, the staff, workers and guards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque are continuing
their hard work,’ wrote the Jordanian-backed Wakf which administers the Temple Mount.
“The Arab Desk of the pro-Israel watchdog group Im Tirtzu, which
first reported the unauthorized digs, accused the Waqf of taking advantage of the closure
to perform the illegal digs that are aimed at ‘destroying Jewish artifacts and history.’
“The holy site was closed last week to stem the spread of the
novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Due to the highly sensitive nature of the Temple Mount, all digs
must be approved by both the Waqf and the Israel Antiquities Authority.
“Despite this, the Waqf has a long history of conducting illegal
digs, most notably in 1999 when they disposed of over 9,000 tons of dirt mixed with
invaluable archaeological artifacts that are now being salvaged by The Temple Mount
Sifting Project.” (Ref. 14)
While Israel preserves Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock,
Palestinian-Arabs have repeatedly proven that they cannot be trusted to respect
Jewish or Christian holy sites. Palestinian-Arabs cannot be trusted to preserve
any sites of historic significance if it contradicts the falsehoods which they
fabricate. Palestinian-Arabs cannot be trusted with the truth. Palestinian-Arabs
cannot be trusted.
