Radical Islam and the West

Fundamental or radical Islam is a cancer and a threat to the entire civilized world that must be exorcised once and for all. The entire civilized world is embroiled in an on-going war with radical Islam that must be won by the rest of the world if peace and tranquility are to be enjoyed by people throughout the world. Radical Islam is at war with every religion, even the more “moderate” factions of their own religion. They respect no national borders, hold women in contempt, and adhere to no globally recognized rules of civilized behavior. Today’s radical Muslim lives in a time warp that traps him in the world of barbarism, conquest by the sword, and total intolerance that came into existence some 1400 years ago. Such extremism has no place in today’s world. Fundamental or radical Islam such as this must be eliminated from the globe!

Radical Islam is an unholy aberration in the modern world. No other form of a major religion in the modern world deems it their obligation to destroy every other religion, to convert the whole planet to their vision of the one and only “true religion”, to kill or subjugate any opponent, and to return the entire world to the way of life in the 7th century. It is interesting to take a look at the differences in how the three religions that are descended from the monotheistic beliefs of Abraham described in the five books of the Old Testament relate to peoples that do not belong to their faith.

Judaism: Judaism has never proselytized and has never actively sought to attract converts. If fact, those desiring to convert to Judaism are initially discouraged from doing so and it is only after they insist upon converting that they are then allowed to do so. This is especially so among the fundamentalist factions of the religion – the ultra-orthodox and the Hareidi. In summary, Judaism never has and does not today actively seek converts to Judaism - certainly not by forcible means.

Christianity: Early on, Christianity was (and still is) a keenly proselytizing religion that vigorously sought converts to the new religion. This process was the basis upon which Christianity developed from a mere handful of disciples into today’s major western religion. Along the way, this fervent need to attract adherents turned toward forced conversions, torture, expulsions of non-believers and public executions, primarily in the world under the control of Roman Catholicism. In recent times however, this fundamentalist attitude of intolerance has been done away with. Today’s Christianity, both Protestant and Catholic versions, remains a proselytizing religion, but only via non-violent means. Conversion to Christianity must be voluntary

Islam: Among Fundamentalist Muslims, there never has been any question concerning non-believers – convert or die! While there was lip service paid to “people of the book” – Christians and Jews, they were and are relegated to a very lowly station in life and, when circumstances allowed, could and would be killed. Today’s Fundamentalist Muslims follow this precept to the extreme, even in regard to their co-religionists - convert to their version of Islam or die!

Fundamentalist Islam is not “the religion of peace.” Fundamentalist Islam is a religion of war, of terror, of slavery, of brutality and intolerance toward women and a religion that can only co-exist with itself. In other words, there is only room for the fundamentalists’ version of Islam in this world. Ultimately, all else must be destroyed, degraded or subjugated. The following are excerpts taken from Reference 1 , The Legacy of Jihad

The conversion of the entire population to Islam and the conversion of every form of dissent is the ideal of the Muslim State. . . . A non-Muslim … cannot be a citizen of the State. . . . The Prophet has commanded us to slay them, plunder them, and make them captive {i.e., slaves}. . . . Either death or Islam.
[Page 34]

Jihad in the Qur’an 9.5 – Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them.
[Page 125]

Jihad in the Qur’an 2.191 – Slay them whenever ye catch them.
[Page 126]

Jihad in the Qur’an 8.12 – Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.
[Page 125]

9.29 O you believers, fight the unbelievers, namely the People of the Book who do not believe the True Faith.
[Page 134]

ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani – There is no inconvenience to kill white non-Arabs who have been taken prisoner.
[Page 125]

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini – Islam is not a religion of pacifists. … Islam wants to conquer the whole world. . . . Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: kill all the unbelievers . . . Islam says: kill them, put them to the sword . . . Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword!
[Page 226]

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini – Islam grew with blood. . . . The great prophet of Islam in one hand carried the Koran and in the other a sword. . . . Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels.
[Page 227]

In their striving toward this goal of eliminating all opposition, Radical Islam has resorted to their version of a holy war, a Jihad, in which terrorist attacks are now the weapon of choice. Many, but not all, of these terrorist attacks are chronicled at TheReligionofPeace.com web site. (Ref. 2) The following are excerpts from this web site:

“The list of terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9/11/01 (a rate of about four or five a day) is incomplete because not all such attacks are picked up by international news sources, even those resulting in multiple loss of life.
         - - -
“Unfortunately, this list of Muslim terrorist attacks barely scratches the surface of atrocities committed in the name of Islam occurring world-wide each day.
         - - -
“No other religion inspires the sort of terrorism that the "Religion of Peace" produces.” (Ref. 2)

The primary objective of Radical Islam “is to dominate all those within its reach and suppress all other ideologies, movements, and beliefs in its path.

“In short, Radical Islam is dedicated to the conquest of the world, by any means possible.

“Radical Islam draws . . . heavily on dangerous ideas that negate basic human rights and freedoms of expression.

“Not all Muslims are radical . . . However, when Muslims adopt a politically motivated, radical ideology, the whole world is at risk.

“In communities that embrace Radical Islam, non-Muslims are considered infidels. This becomes a rallying point for action against non-Muslims.

“When Muslims outnumber believers of other faiths the radical elements tend to spread intolerance for other religions. For example, in Saudi Arabia non-Muslims may not even worship in the privacy of their own homes. (Ref. 3)

Buddhists, Hindus and Baha'i:

“In countries ruled by Radical Muslims, war is waged on non-Muslims. Buddhists, Hindus and Baha'i, in particular are targets. Throughout history hundreds of thousands of members of these communities have been converted to Islam by force, or face death at the hands of Radical Muslims.

“In Afghanistan, the policy of the Taliban regime {was} to destroy Buddhist statues. These artifacts {were} central to Buddhist worship and valuable to the world at large.
         - - -
“Hindu communities have been threatened by the Muslim majority in Bangladesh. Hindu temples have been torched and statues of deities have been destroyed. Public calls have been made to raze the central Hindu temple and replace it with a mosque.
         - - -
“Seven Baha'i leaders in Iran have been imprisoned on espionage charges. The prisoners have not been allowed to speak with lawyers, and formal evidence has not been presented. An additional 30 Baha’i are imprisoned on unknown charges.

“Iran’s Prosecutor General has stated that the government is planning the ‘complete destruction’ of the Baha’i community.” (Ref. 3)

“58 Hindus, most of them returning from Ayodhya, were killed and 43 injured when Muslims attacked the Sabarmati Express and set afire four of its coaches at Godhra railway station in Gujarat {Western India} on February 27th, 2002.” (Ref. 4)

Jews:

Consider the basic philosophy of these animals “with a quote from the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah:”

“We have discovered how to hit the Jews where they are the most vulnerable. The Jews love life, so that is what we shall take away from them. We are going to win, because they love life and we love death {Emphasis mine}.” (Ref. 5)

Christians:

“Christians are persecuted around the world due to the spread of Radical Islam. In many Middle Eastern countries Christians are forced to keep their religion undercover and outwardly act as Muslims to avoid attention and personal attacks.

“Radical Islam does not embrace freedom of religion. Christians are brutally tortured, kidnapped, and beheaded for no other reason than their faith and belief in Christianity.

“In Iraq, a Christian community that used to have one million followers has dwindled. Across Baghdad terrified Christians remaining in Iraq celebrate Easter while under protection. Today, most of the worshipers are women and children, as many Christian men have either been kidnapped, or worse, killed.
         - - -
“In the West Bank, Christian villages have been set ablaze by Molotov cocktails thrown by Muslim neighbors. Predominantly Christian cities such as Bethlehem have become Muslim dominated. Christians have left due to severe and violent persecution. Christian leaders remaining in Bethlehem have dodged multiple assassination attempts.

“Today, it is illegal to openly practice Christianity, or establish a place of non-Muslim worship in Saudi Arabia.
         - - -
“Persecution based on faith is a threat to religions around the world. Where Radical Islam is spreading Christian communities are threatened with violence and struggle to maintain a distinct identity and practice. (Ref. 6)

"We only hear voices telling us not make too much noise. Today it is happening in the Gaza Strip, tomorrow it will take place in Bethlehem. In a few months, there will be no Christians left in Palestine."
— Christian man, Gaza City    (Ref. 7)

Christians in the Hamas controlled Gaza Strip are under attack by radical Muslims. It is reported that Christians are being kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam. “According to the Greek Orthodox Church in the Gaza Strip, at least five Christians have been kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam in recent weeks.”

“The church has called on the international community to intervene to save the Christians. . . . In a rare public protest, leaders and members of the 2,000-strong Christian community in the Gaza Strip staged a sit-in strike in the Gaza Strip . . . to condemn the abductions and forced conversions in particular, and persecution at the hands of radical Muslims in general. . . . The protest has further aggravated tensions between Muslims and Christians in the Gaza Strip, which has been under the control of Hamas since 2007. . . . Leaders and members of the Christian community now fear reprisal attacks by Muslim extremists. Some have appealed to the Vatican and Christian groups and churches in the US, Canada and Europe for help. . . . Radical Islam, and not checkpoints or a security fence, remains the main threat to defenseless Christians not only in the Palestinians territories, but in the entire Middle East as well.” (Ref. 8)

“It is obvious by now that the Christians in the Middle East are an ‘endangered species.’

“Christians in Arab countries are no longer being persecuted; they are now being slaughtered and driven out of their homes and lands.
         - - -
“What the West needs to understand is that radical Islam has declared jihad not only against Jews, but also against Christians.

“In Iraq, Egypt and the Palestinian territories, Christians are being targeted almost on a daily basis by Muslim fundamentalists and secular dictators.

“Dozens of Arab Christians in Iraq have been killed in recent months in what seems to be well-planned campaign to drive them out of the country. Many Christian families have already begun fleeing Iraq out of fear for their lives.
         - - -
“In Egypt, the plight of the Coptic Christian minority appears to be worsening.
         - - -
“Hardly a day passes without reports of violence against members of the Coptic Christian community in various parts of Egypt.
         - - -
“Palestinian Christians have also been feeling the heat, although they their conditions remain much better than those of their brothers and sisters in Iraq and Egypt.
         - - -
“When Muslim fanatics cannot kill Christian soldiers or civilians in the mountains of Afghanistan or on the streets of New York, they choose an easy prey: their Arab Christian neighbors.” (Ref. 9)

Muslims:

Islamic fundamentalists are not content with waging a holy war on all non-Muslims. The also wage war against their co-religionists Witness the ongoing killings and destruction in Iraq where Sunnis and Shi’ites massacre each other on a nearly daily basis and al-Qaeda foments murders and suicide bombings among all factions. Iran threatens much of the Muslim Middle East today while fomenting unrest throughout the world.

Radical Islam and “Moderate” Islam

Radical Islamists, called “Ansar Dine”, a puritanical, Al Qaeda-linked movement have seized control of northern Mali, a previously moderate Islamic nation. They have imposed a strict version of Islam that includes a ban on television and compulsory beards for men, requirements that echo actions of Afghanistan’s Taliban and Somalia’s al-Shahab militia.

“The militants have also destroyed ancient mosques in the northern Malian city of Timbuktu, a center of Islam in the 15th and 16th centuries, evoking comparisons to the Taliban’s destruction of the giant Buddha statues of Bamiyam.”
         - - -
“Mali, the largest country in West Africa is 90 percent Muslim. The strain of Islam practiced there is tolerant, absorbing tribal beliefs and allowing women the freedom to engage in business and politics , mingle freely with men, and choose whether to wear a veil.” Such is no longer the case under Ansar Dine. A woman food seller from northern Mali who fled to a refugee camp in neighboring Niger said, “First they ordered women to cover up. Then they ordered us not to enter the market. . . . I could not make money to feed my child. This is against our traditions. This is against the Islam we know.” (Ref. 10

Black Africans:

Radical Muslim raiders have been guilty of oppressing and enslaving African Blacks in what is a form racial cleansing in Dafur. Beginning in 2003, the Islamist fundamentalist Sudanese government recruited and sponsored Janjaweed (literally "armed men on horseback") militias to displace native black African civilians. These fundamentalist Muslim Arabs have used slavery, rape, organized starvation, and mass murder to ethnically cleanse the region of inhabitants who are not Muslim Arabs.

By 2007, the Janjaweed had killed an estimated 400,000 people and displaced more than 2.5 million black Africans. Earlier, the Islamist fundamentalist government of Sudan conducted a similar campaign of genocide, rape, murder, enslavement, along with forced conversions to Islam of Christians and Animists in Southern Sudan.

As with many conflicts within the Muslim world, the situation in Darfur found Arabs massacring other Arabs. “Arabs in the Western Sudanese region of Dafur are usually depicted as the aggressors in a conflict with Black African ethnic groups, but many Arabs now find themselves caught up in the ethnic violence.” “In the latest twist, Arab militias armed by the Sudanese government as part of its counterinsurgency strategy are turning their guns against one another.” (Ref. 11)

Israel:

We are told that “If only Israel would disappear, there would be no further problems with fundamental Islam.” This is simply a lie and a fantasy. Israel is just a “red herring.” The real and ultimate objective of Radical Islam is not the destruction of Israel – it is the subjugation or death of every person on this globe that does not follow their Radical Islamic version of the “religion of peace.” They view this objective as their mission from Allah. Israel is just a convenient tool in this grand plan. Radical Islam uses Israel as the scapegoat to foment the Muslim masses that otherwise might revolt against the oppression of the radicals that direct the movement. Israel is used by Radical Islam, as well as by anti-Semites and bleeding-heart liberals, to direct attention away from the atrocities of Fundament Islam and onto the purported apartheid behavior of the Jewish state. For the Muslim Radicals, condemnation of Israel serves to deflect attention of the non-Muslim world away from their terrorism. For the anti-Semites, hatred of anything Jewish takes precedence over any and all atrocities committed in the name of Allah or the Prophet Mohamed. To the bleeding-heart liberals of the world, Israeli check-points and security walls are more objectionable than Islamic suicide bombings, the murder of innocent civilians by Islamic fanatics, forced conversions of non-Muslims, and even modern-day slavery practiced is some Muslim controlled regions of Africa.

The United States:

"The United States has been at war for over thirty years. Over that period of time American service men and women, along with U.S. civilians have been repeatedly attacked by Muslim fanatics or, as I prefer to call them, Islamofascists. These Islamic fundamentalists are indeed the modern-day fascists. Their objective is world conquest and the imposition of their version of Islam on all humanity. They ruthlessly murder Americans, non-Muslims and those fellow co-religionists who do not follow their version of Islam." (Ref. 12)

To radical Islamicists, war on non-believers is a fundamental requirement on true Muslims as written in their holy book, the Koran. "The idea that the Koran commands them to do violence to unbelievers runs from the very top of the international jihadist movement - Osama bin Laden - down to the rank and file. Overall, it is extremely rare - if not impossible - to find a jihadist who does not cite the Koran to justify his actions. Britain-based jihadist preacher, Abu Yahya, asserts simply, 'It says in the Koran that we must try as much as we can to terrorise the enemy.' And Pakistani jihad leader Beitullah Mehsud claims that 'Allah on 480 occasions in the Holy Koran extols Muslims to wage jihad. We only fulfill God's orders. Only jihad can bring peace to the world.' He specified that his jihad - struggle in Arabic - was an offensive military operation: 'We will continue our struggle until foreign troops are thrown out. Then we will attack them in the US and Britain until they either accept Islam or agree to pay jazia.' The 'jazia,' or jizya, is a tax that the Koran (9:29) specifies must be levied on Jews, Christians, and some other non-Muslim faiths as a sign of their subjugation under the Islamic social order." (Ref. 13) Theirs is a fundamental religious belief. There is no room for argument or compromise - they believe they are doing God's work and only they know the true meaning of God's words, as they interpret those words in the Koran. There is no reasoning with people such as these.

“Hezbollah pioneered the use of suicide bombers in the Middle East, and was linked to the 1983 bombing and subsequent deaths of 241 U.S. marines in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as multiple kidnappings of U.S. and Western civilians and government officials.” (Ref. 14) Remember, the U.S. is the “great Satan.”

Slavery:

Slavery has historically been a major feature throughout the history of Islam. Although abandoned by all civilized nations and by most Muslim countries in the 20th and 21st centuries, slavery continues to be practiced in this day and age in some Muslim communities.

“Slavery in Africa continues today. Slavery existed in Africa before the arrival of the Atlantic slave trade, as did an internal African slave trade and an Arab slave trade. Despite being illegal in all African countries, slavery continues in parts of Africa and the rest of the world. . . . Forced labor in Sub-Saharan Africa is estimated at 660,000. . . . There are numerous reports of female sex slaves in areas without an effective government control, such as Sudan, South Africa, Liberia, Sierra Leone, northern Uganda, Congo, Niger and Mauritania. . . . The trading of children has been reported in modern Nigeria and Benin. . . . {In Mauritania} a system exists now by which Arab Muslims -- the bidanes—own black slaves, the haratines. An estimated 90,000 Mauritanians remain essentially enslaved. . . . Sudan has seen a resurgence of slavery since 1983, associated with the Second Sudanese Civil War. In the Sudan, Christian and animist captives in the civil war are often enslaved, and female prisoners are often used sexually, with their Muslim captors claiming that Islamic law grants them permission.” (Ref. 15)

Even though, under Western pressure, slavery has been officially abolished in Muslim countries (which cannot permanently reject slavery, as it is recognized in Islam [Emphasis mine]) the blacks of sub-Saharan Africa are, whenever they come into contact with Arab or even local Muslims, still being exploited, massacred (as the Biafrans) or sold into slavery (as in the Sudan). This is happening most notably in the Sudan, which a hundred years ago was still mainly black and overwhelmingly non-Muslim, but thanks to steady Jihad encroachments has been taken over by the dominant northern Arabs.” (Ref. 16) It matters not whether the blacks are Christians, Muslims, or adherents to some other faith. The “white” Arabs treat them all the same, with slavery being one result of the subjugation of these native black Africans. Remember, slavery is expressly permitted in the Koran.

“Slavery is found today in many parts of the world, including Mauritania, Pakistan, India, Burma, and Saudi Arabia. But Sudan is the only place where chattel slavery is not just surviving but experiencing great revival. The renascence of the slave trade began in the mid-1970’s and resulted directly from an upsurge in Islamism in Sudan at that time, and especially from the Islamic emphasis on the renewal of Jihad. After gaining the upper-hand in Khartoum by about 1983, the Islamists’ immediate goal was to transform the multi-ethnic, multi-religious population of Sudan into an Arab-dominated Muslim state, and to do so through jihad.” (Ref. 1 – Page 579) Under fundamental Islamic control, Sudan has been described as “a slave state of our time.”

Slavery has historically been part and parcel part of Islam from the days of the prophet, Mohammad. “Prophet Mohammad found slavery existing in Arabia and recognized it in the Quran . . . Quaranic injunctions, Islamic conquests, and Muslim administrative institutions gave it continuity and legitimacy. . . . In short, slavery in Islam is a permanent and perennial institution.” (Ref. 1 - Pages 530 and 531)

We Need to Stop Excusing Radical Islam:

Liberals, and so-called “educated liberals” in particular, throughout the world have been brain-washed by the liberal “intelligencia” to the extent that they are effectively brain-dead when it comes to differentiating fact from liberal fiction. They march in lock-step with the pronouncements and interpretations of their “educated leaders” with nary an original thought or validation of the veracity of the implied truths being spouted by their leaders.

One liberal, a self-proclaimed Jewish leftist, has awakened to reality. What follows is my abstracted version of portions of what he has written.

“As Jews, we learn not to talk about it. We're taught, from an early age, that it's not our business. As leftists, we're taught to interpret it in the broader context, as the understandable outgrowth of occupation, of colonialism, of Western oppression.”

So, when a Palestinian toddler was killed in the crossfire of a Hamas-Fatah gunfight in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lehiya, we said nothing. This was none of our affair.

“When Palestinians gunned down three children of a Fatah security chief, . . . we knew better than to pass judgment, protest on their behalf, raise our voices.
         - - -
“Just as every morning, when the news of a fresh act of moral obscenity reaches us from Iraq, we swallow hard and shut up. . . . For example, when a Sunni Muslim mosque was stormed, its minaret blown to pieces, and the structure set ablaze, in apparent retaliation for a suicide truck bombing beside a Shiite mosque the day before.

“Muslims should be able to worship without other Muslims blowing them to mist. Muslim children should be able to go to school and back without other Muslims shattering their bodies with automatic fire. Muslim women should be able to live their lives without worrying that their husbands are within their rights to beat them and threaten to kill them.

“And we, as non-Muslims, should be able to say something about it.

“Not a simple issue. Especially for those of us Jews and leftists who were educated at places like Berkeley, where we received our degrees in Selective Blindness, with a minor in Understanding the Roots of Violence when practiced by Muslims.

“We were taught to sniff out, publicize, and condemn every instance of racism, violence, injustice, and humiliation practiced by Israeli Jews against Palestinian Muslims. And that was as it should be.

“But we were also taught that it was racist to impose our Western values on the acts of Muslims, even, or especially, when it came to the most extreme of Muslims.

“We can, with facility, therefore, comprehend all Muslim atrocities against Muslims in Iraq as the direct, understandable, and legitimate response to the American-British occupation.

     “We were taught wrong.

“We can understand terrorism in Bali, in London, in the Twin Towers, as an outgrowth of anger over American expansionism and Israeli military repression.

     “We were taught wrong.
         - - -
“This is what we should have been taught: Violations of human rights are violations of human rights, regardless of the cultural background of the perpetrator, regardless of the background of the victim.

“This is what we should have retained: One way to demonstrate compassion for victims is to stop showing sensitivity to their tormentors. Even if both are Muslims. Because it's our business to cry out. Because the victims are human beings. Because villains deserve to be denounced.

“We were taught to feel guilt, when we should have been taught that wrongdoing is the work of the wrongdoer.

“In the end, those of us who excuse Muslim fanatics their outrages against their own, those of us who explain away their crimes by blaming them on the West, or on ourselves, are guilty of racism as well.

“We are saying, in effect, that they cannot be considered responsible for their actions, as would any other human being.

“We are saying, in effect, that we made them who they are.

“We are saying, in effect, that the suicide bomber who kills his own, lacks the ability to discern right and wrong. We are also saying, in effect, that they can do what they like, to their own.

“There is racism in our view, and megalomania, and arrogance, and cowardice, and weakness. Terrorists know this. They feed on it.

“They were taught well.” (Ref. 17)

It’s time to realize that half measures don't work with people who are willing to die by the thousands for Allah to achieve their goal. In the eyes of these extremists, any people that doesn’t conform to their brand of religion is simply an abomination on earth that has to be wiped out in the name of Allah and Mohamed. These radical Muslims are teaching hundreds of thousands of children all over the Moslem world in Madras schools to become martyrs for Allah in order to kill the infidels. These youngsters are not only ready to do it, but are actually in the process of doing it. Bombs are going off all over the world, killing and maiming thousands of people, not just on 9/11 in the US, but in London, Madrid, in Bali, in Africa, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and countless other places. The first signs of the Islamic Tsunami are already here! “The jihadist war against civilization is global and what is needed is a global coalition with representatives of every religion, every ethnicity, every skin color, and, of course, both genders.” (Ref. 18)
